An Exhilarating Experience Under the Stars
While most ski areas and resorts in Massachusetts shut down when the sun goes down, Jiminy Peak keeps the fun going into the night. Just imagine skiing or snowboarding down the mountain with your friends under the stars after watching the sunset from the summit. Our night skiing / riding experience is perfect for those who might want to catch a few more runs or are occupied with work, school, or other “important obligations” throughout the day. Massachusettsans and New Englanders visit our ski resort for night skiing and riding for all sorts of occasions including:
- Bonding with friends athletically and socially
- Getting outside to de-stress after a tough day or week
- Getting prepared for a weekend or week-long vacation trip
Whatever your reasons, snowsport enthusiasts are sure to enjoy our ski resort with night skiing and snowboarding this winter!

Lighting the Mountain
Jiminy Peak has set up 530 high-efficiency LED lights spread over 25 trails. They are controlled by ROAMview software, which gives us the ability to program the on/off times. Programmable, high-efficiency, LED lights conserve a massive amount of energy and are one of many components in our sustainability initiatives. Basically, what you need to know is that we have lit up our trails with some of the best LED night skiing systems in the industry providing our guests with superior visibility.
Enjoy the Same Resort Amenities Day or Night
Our night skiing and snowboarding operations operate pretty much the same way that our day time operations work. The majority of our mountain resort services will be operational for night skiing or riding, including:
- Multiple food and beverage locations
- Rental shop
- Repair shop
- Guest services
- Ski Patrol
Retail locations will also be open until 6 pm.
Rental equipment is available to all night skiing and snowboarding guests through our rental shop, located in the Thatcher Building in the upper courtyard of Village Center. Guests are welcome to pick up their rental equipment any time all day and night starting at 8:30 Monday-Friday (non-holidays) and 8:00 on weekends and holidays. It is highly recommend to pre-purchase rental equipment 36 hours in advance, if you plan to visit on weekends or holidays. All rentals must be returned to the rental shop by 10 pm. By loading the last chair at 9:30 pm, we allow guests enough time to take one final run and return their rental equipment on time.
