Spring Fling

Make plans to join us for one of the best events of the season! Our Spring Fling is a celebration of longer days, warmer weather and goggle tans! The event features the Cardboard Box Derby, and of course, the annual Pond Skimming Contest. Events are FREE and registration is in Crane (West) Lodge, as follows:

8:30am – 1:40pm Registration – Crane Lodge West for all events

9:00 am – Children’s Scavenger Hunt.

• Participants will gather at the fire pit on JJ’s Patio for the items list
• 20 Spring/Summer items will be hidden around the resort
• Participants will set out to find as many items as they can

Items found can be redeemed at Registration in Crane Lodge West for prizes!  

10:00 am – Cardboard Box Derby, Under the Giant Swing.

Box Derby Rules:

Box must be completely constructed out of cardboard and tape. No other materials may be used

• No metal anywhere in the vehicle
• All team members must ride in the box
• Helmets required
• Prizes for most creative box and fastest box

Awards immediately following race at the finish line

 11:00 am – Grom Sesh, Grommetville

Ages Under 16

• Helmets required.
• 1st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place getters

Awards immediately following session in Grommetville

12:30 pm – “Wanna Be A Snowmaker” Hose Race, 180

Open to all ages

• 2 – 4 racers per team
• 1^st place winners

Awards immediately following race at the finish line

1:00 pm – Bikini Slalom, 180

Open to all ages

• Bathing suit must be worn and completely visible during race.
• 1st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place getters.

2:00pm – Pond Skimming Contest, Alex’s Park

Contestants will be judged on:

• Distance
• Style
• Costume – Creativity counts; dress to impress!
• Crowd Response
• 1^st Place winner
