Adaptive Lessons

Jiminy’s Adaptive program provides ski and snowboard lessons to individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities. Jiminy Peak partners with STRIDEAdaptive Sports, a nonprofit adaptive skiing and recreation organization for individuals with disabilities. Our Adaptive volunteer coaches are PSIA-trained and will assess, equip and teach individuals with special needs, one-on-on, to meet their specific goals, abilities and learning styles. We welcome individuals of all abilities!

For participation in our Adaptive Lesson Program:

Register online by completing the STRIDE registration form and DSUSA waiver prior to making a reservation with STRIDE staff.

Email or call Megan Evans [email protected] or 518-598-1279  to make an adaptive lesson reservation. Payment for reservations are paid at Jiminy Peak Snowsports desk. Cancellations or no-shows prior to 24 hours are subject to a $25 fee.


Lessons are taken by advance reservation only, at STRIDE. Adaptive lessons are available on weekends and Monday – Wednesday evenings. Holiday week and weekdays are special requests and cannot be guaranteed, but generally filled.



$65 for a 2.5 hr. private instruction lesson; $120 for a morning and afternoon lesson, which includes adaptive and standard rental ski/snowboard equipment. For just $40 more, purchase a shadow ticket for a family member who would like to learn how to effectively accompany the adaptive skier/rider. (Shadow ticket only valid for duration of lesson)



STRIDE Sliders Program! Enjoy a group mountain lesson program with other students who are same ability, to promote socialization skills while improving skiing/riding skills. Participants must purchase a package of 6 lessons for the discounted price of $340. Times offered will be Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. 


Join the STRIDE Race Team! Competition for both Special Olympics and Dianna Golden Race Series. Team practices on Saturday mornings. Team uniforms! Contact STRIDE if you'd like to compete.

Financial assistance through the STRIDE David H. Clark Memorial Fund helps families in of financial assistance to fully participate in STRIDE’s activities or related activities.
