Skiing and snowboarding provide plenty of thrills and excitement. But sometimes you just need a Moment of Zen. We have a network of snowshoe trails that can provide an exceptional aerobic workout with spectacular views or that moment of tranquility in the woods.
Want an aerobic workout that no gym can offer? Snowshoe around the perimeter of the resort via John Hancock > West Way > Left Bank > Grouse Run for a 3.5 mile loop with spectacular views. You can even grab a drink and a snack at Hendrick's Summit Lodge while you soak in the views of the Jericho Valley and Mt. Greylock from the summit.
Tranquility can be found near the western border of our property, just off the John Hancock slope. Several interconnected trails meander through a quiet, wooded area, free of ski or snowboard traffic. Stay on the right side of the trail as you climb up John Hancock and duck under the rope that closes the walking trails to ski & snowboard traffic. Follow the snowshoe icons and arrows around the loops.
Snowshoe rentals are available at Mountain Sports by Potter Brothers for those who do not have their own equipment.
