Full Time Year Round Positions

Human Resources Assistant
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented person to assist our human resources department.  This position will be responsible for assisting with the administration of 401K plan and Health Insurance, seasonal recruitment functions, screening of applicants and assisting with employee orientations. Winter 2009-2010 Seasonal Positions

Marketing Coordinator- Winter

This position will assist and provide support to the Marketing Department. 

Job Functions Include:
1. Primary responsibility to assist and support the Marketing Director with day to day operations within the department and to ensure guest satisfaction at every level of involvement of the resort.
2. Continuously update Jiminy Peak listings and represent Jiminy on social networking sites.  Continuously monitor blogs that are ski/boarding industry or guest related and be the voice of Jiminy as necessary.
3. Event coordinator responsible for assisting  in execution of events.
4. Assist with daily snow reporting responsibilities.
5. Stock and monitor brochure racks on property, Bentley Brook and Vacation Village, BVB, and other area properties as needed (some lifting required)
6. Track and report all skiing coupons and promotions as they are redeemed. Update various departments regarding external promotions.
7. Coordinate Guest Satisfaction Survey Process both print and online.
8. Assist Marketing Department on creation of and project management for the website, print collateral, radio/TV ads, and other aspects of advertising and promotion
9. Work with the media when necessary- on mountain tours, chaperoning, etc.
10. Update and maintain ski shop list (and fax) and coordinate with Tickets, Guest Svcs.  Keep up with communication to/from ski shops
11. Assist other resort departments as needed.


Qualifications:
1. Customer service oriented and must possess a polite, strong phone presence
2. Strong written and oral communication skills
3. able to work holidays/weekends.
4. Absolutely must be self- motivated and a team player
5. Strong knowledge of web/new media and social networking sites.  Must be able to write and communicate clearly and effectively.
6. Organized and able to follow processes perfectly and make suggestions for improvement
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other MS Office Products.

Job Description-  Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator will work with the Marketing department in various in-office and on- mountain tasks. Primary responsibilities are to update daily the Jiminy Peak website and assist with all internet marketing (no knowledge of html necessary), and to be the lead coordinator of weekly guest satisfaction surveys/tabulation.

Other daily tasks also include but are not limited to-  on-site organization of marketing literature, event planning and coordination, daily snow reporting duties (internet, phone, fax, email) , ski show attendance, database management, and being a general liaison between the marketing department and the Jiminy Peak community, as well as the media, guests, and outside market.

This is a seasonal, full time, hourly position including weekends and holidays.  A great opportunity for someone who loves a little bit of chaos, sometimes long hours, and a lot of fun.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE - All Positions Filled

Parking Lot Supervisor
This is a seasonal, supervisory opportunity for our upcoming winter season. The Parking Lot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing that our parking lot staff delivers friendly, and helpful guest service while safely and efficiently managing the flow of traffic on resort property and off-site parking lots.  The position will start in late October and end mid-March weather permitting. 
Must be 18 or over
Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Available weekends and holidays
Must be able to work standing up for extended periods of time and withstand extreme weather conditions
Must have strong communication and coaching skills
Prior supervisory experience in a service setting

Seasonal

Mountain Ambassadors
Mountain Ambassadors provide service in a variety of areas including welcoming the guest and providing information about the mountain and what services are available, assisting with special events, greeting group tour busses, assisting with guest surveys, answering questions at the base of the mountain, the ticket line and the main lodges. An Ambassador assists in educating our guests in the Skiers/Riders Responsibility Code, providing speed control in the no speed zones and helping with crowd control wherever necessary.

Snowmakers       
Responsible for enhancing our guests’ experiences by creating safe and high quality snow conditions.  Responsible for  monitoring and positioning snowmaking equipment.  Must be 18 or over, available full-time and able to work a flexible schedule including holidays. Must be able to push and pull substantial amounts of weight, withstand extreme weather conditions, and physically negotiate steep terrain.

Lift Attendants/Operators             
Responsible for providing friendly and helpful guest service, loading/unloading our guests safely on and off our chairlifts.  Must be 18 or over, able to stand for extended periods of time, withstand extreme weather conditions and be available weekends and holidays.  Day/evening, mid-week, weekend, part-time or full-time positions
       
Groomers      
Responsible for grooming snow conditions ensuring we provide conditions to our guests that are of the safest and highest quality.  Must have prior experience operating heavy machinery and must be available for overnight hours, available weekends and holidays. 2nd or 3rd shifts, FT/PT positions available          


Park Rangers     
Responsible for maintaining, repairing and monitoring park features in our terrain park and educating our guests on terrain park use.  Must be 18 or over, customer service oriented, and able to ski/board uneven terrain while carrying supplies. 
Must be available holidays and weekends.     Day, evening, weekend positions available


Ski and Snowboard Instructors
Looking for energetic fun loving ski enthusiasts to instruct both ski and snowboarding. Ski instructors must be 14 years old and up, and Snowboarders must be 16 years old and up. Must be an intermediate rider or skier and able to negotiate down a blue square trail. Both positions are full time and part time, day and evening shifts and it is required that you are available for holidays and weekends.

County Inn Housekeepers    
Responsible for cleaning country inn hotel units.  Must be 18 or over, available weekends and have a high regard for quality.

Condominium Housekeepers   
Responsible for cleaning condominium units.  Must be 18 or over, available weekends and have a high regard for quality. 
Day positions, full-time, part -time available.    


2nd shift Housekeepers    
Responsible for cleaning commercial areas and delivering supplies to our guests.  Must be 18 or over, have a high regard for quality, able to work independently with no supervision.  Must be  available evenings, weekends and holidays.

Village Center Housekeepers
Responsible for cleaning commercial base areas, restrooms, and removing trash.  Must be 18 or over, available weekends and holidays and have a high regard for quality.

Parking Operations                                                  


Shuttle Driver                      
Responsible for efficiently and safely transporting guests from overflow lots to Village Center drop-off area and returning guests from drop-off area to the parking lots.  Must be 18 or over, have a clean driving record and valid license.

Parking Attendants          
Responsible for directing traffic in an efficient and safe manner on resort property and overflow lots. Must be 17 or over, available weekends and holidays, able to stand for extended periods of time, and withstand extreme weather conditions.

SKIwee Desk  
Responsible for registering guest information into our SKIwee and Snowsports programs and sell related services.  Must be 18 or over, customer service oriented and have strong computer skills and phone skills.

Cub’s Den attendants
Caring for children ages 6 weeks – 4 years old; may be assigned to infants.  Help with childcare needs, group activities- stories, music, art, snack time, etc.  Able to work in teams with other attendants to provide quality childcare to each individual child.  Must be patient and willing to change diapers and deal with unhappy children.  Being able to create a safe, fun learning environment. Must possess exceptional people and guest service skills. Willingness to work outside at times if necessary. Must be 18 years of age and consent to a Cori check. 1st and 2nd  shifts available Must be available weekends and holidays

College Student Rep

Jiminy Peak is looking for College Reps interested in working within their school community to sell our newly developed College Pass. In order to so do, we ask that you:

 

  1. Familiarize yourself with Jiminy Peak, both what it stands for, and what it offers. Be ready to provide information about the mountain when asked about it.
  2. Work to foster a positive reputation for Jiminy Peak among the student body on campus.
  3. Utilize promotional materials provided by Jiminy Peak to the fullest extent possible, for the purpose of informing the student body of the available opportunity to purchase a season pass.
  4. Seek out additional ways to promote Jiminy Peak’s College Pass program creatively and appropriately through a variety of channels. Also, update Jiminy Peak about any events coming up at your school that may be appropriate for Jiminy Peak to be involved.
  5. If school allows, host informational booths at campus events, such as freshman orientation, club fair, or other campus social activities.
  6. Submit brief progress reports on sales efforts including: any completed pass applications, events attended and inventory of promotional supplies.  Submit end of year results.  Be familiar with online sales as this is the primary method utilized for selling passes, your results will be tracked this way.

Here’s the deal:  For your work, we are offering a free 09/10 Jiminy Peak season pass to any Rep who sells 10 college passes at your school.  You sell more than 10, we’ll kick in an incentive of $25/pass that you sell.
