It Was the Night before Christmas
With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore and Henry Livingston Jr.
It was the night before Christmas, with no snow on the ground
Not a creature was stirring, not even the hounds;
The snow guns were ready -started and hoses all hung with care,
In hopes that snowmaking temperatures might soon be there;
The snowmakers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Snowmageddon Sledge Hammers danced in their heads
And Tyler with his guitar and Brian with Diesel,
Had just pickled their brains for a long night’s schnozzle.
When out on the hill there was such a clamor
They sprang from their beds with their Radios and Phones to see what’s the matter.
Away to the Resort they flew in their cars
Broke many a speed limit and tore up the tar
The full moon shone brightly on the empty slopes
Gave the illusion of mid-day to the glassy eyed folks.
When what to their sleep starved eyes should appear,
But a giant white Snowmageddon and a bunch of red suited snowmakers standing very near
Snowmageddon was dancing so lively and quick
Tyler wondered if at that moment that they might be sick.
Faster than Brian could ever have done
Snowmageddon shouted for the snowmakers to run
“Now! Josh, now Jeramie, now Kimber and Jimmy, Go! Ron, Ross, Rob, Chris and Steve!”
“On Tyler, On Tyler, On Kelso and Iggy! On Mark and Matt, On Greg and Ross, Chris and Wayne!”
“To the top of the stairs! To the top of Hill
Now fly as fast as you can and fire up the guns
Break the records and get them all done
Then the Snowmageddon Snow Storm gathered into a Blizzard
As tons of snow began to fall unfettered
With the swirling snow and Snowmageddon too
It was everywhere….. even in the loo
The snowmakers were spraying snow everywhere covering many slopes
As Tyler and Brian peered all a round
Over lumbered Snowmageddon without making a sound
He was covered in white fur from head to toe
With lots of snowflakes swirling to and fro
With his hands full of snow guns and hoses wrapped around his waist
He was ready to cover the grass with layers of snow like paste
His eyes – how they twinkled seeing the show
The snow guns were blazing, spraying the snow.
Creating acres and miles for skiers to go
The parks were all open with hits large and small
The kids were all playing and having a ball
Tyler and Brian with Diesel in tow
Looked together in disbelief how could this be so?
That is when it struck them, the two optimistic chaps
That they had not counted on Snowmageddon and the snowmakers doing laps.
Up and down the slopes they ran
Making the snow deeper and deeper where ever they land
Will his beard covered with icicles, Snowmageddon smiled
And looked over the Resort all meek and mild
My job here is done and I now must go
To your competitor’s Resorts and help them make snow
Diesel barked at that absurd thought
Tyler and Brian thought all was for naught
But Snowmageddon called back as he flew away
Your snow is always better so you can open without delay
Then they heard him exclaim as he went out of sight
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night
